Bunnies!!!!!!!!!! >:-x
You may have heard I have a bunny problem. My bean plants have been destryoed by what I thought was one bunny. As it turns out there are at least, TWO bunnies making my garden their dinner. I saw one in the grass all tucked down trying to hid and another under my back steps. Brown fur with a cute lil’ white tale. I’m working on a plan to frighten them away from the greens, but they ARE SOOOOOO CUTE!
I may try to make friends with these intruders or I migt let G-mez coming over and take these bunnies for a ride. NO NO NO, Kidding…I’m getting some bunny food and luring them into my neighbors garden. HAH HAH HAH, my evil plan has begun…..BAM BAM BAM….read next when when we find out if Lisa made friends with the bunnies and enimies of her neighbor.

bunnies are like kittens Lisa, they are adorable and cute when they are babies but then they grow up to be rabbits and cats…..you like cats so, I won’t say anything bad about them like they are independent, arrogant, snobbish or loners BUT rabbits have got to go…i have about 10 holes that they chewed through in my wooden fence so they can use my yard as a short cut or getaway from other predators…..now my little dogs have escape holes and I have to decide if I want to fix my fence holes or just let the grass grow over them…so far , grass growing is winning……oh yeah. lest you forget…2 rabbits turn into 200 in about 6 months….time to go hunting wabbits
I have heard that planting marigolds around the border of the garden sometimes works. Here is a quick note from a website about humanely getting rabbits away from gardens . . . ”
Garlic, onions, chives, catnip, lavender, and marigolds are all deterrents according to several sources. The Old Farmer’s Almanac recommends planting a double row of onions. ” That is from tp://web.mac.com/elementsintime/creatinglandscape/Elements_In_Time_-_Creating_Edible_Landscape/Entries/2008/3/19_How_to_Stop_that_Bunny_Hop_In_Your_Garden:__Humanely,_Organically,_Frugally,_&_Sustainably.html
Good luck.
Lisa, I used these guys to keep earthworms out of my pool cover in the fall so when I opened the pool in the spring , it wasn’t an inch thick in earthworms on the bottom of the pool…they are Gempler’s and here is the link to their rabbit repellent site….brian
